Team USA Grabs Gold and Bronze at Spring Cup

(2/19/19) — Four teams traveled to Milan to compete in the 2019 Spring Cup, held Feb. 15-17, and Teams Elite and the Crystallettes are coming home with a podium finish.

In the junior competition, Teams Elite secured the top spot after finishing first in both the short program (67.56) and free skate (93.29). With a total score of 160.85 points at their international debut, Teams Elite topped the field by 10 points.

Chicago Jazz also competed in the junior competition for their international season debut and finished fourth with 130.62 total points. The team placed first at the same competition in 2016.

The Crystallettes and Adrian College both competed in the senior competition, and placed third and fourth, respectively. After a second-place finish in the short program (68.79), the Crystallettes placed fourth with their 114.12-point free skate, totaling 182.91 total points and finishing third overall. Last week, the Crystallettes competed at Trophy D’Ecosse, where they finished second.

Adrian College finished their second international competition of the season with 178.63 total points and a fourth-place finish. The team last competed at the Spring Cup in 2016, where they finished seventh.
