Synchro Skills Synchronized Skating Program

The 2018-19 Synchro Skills synchronized skating program requirements can be found here.

Synchronized Skating has partnered with Learn to Skate USA to expand the synchronized skating competitive levels. Synchro Skills teams may compete at nonqualifying synchronized skating competitions, as well as Learn to Skate USA Competitions (Compete USA).

Synchro Skills Synchronized Skating Team Requirements

Snowplow Sam Synchro - 5-12 skaters, majority under 7 years old, maximum 2 minutes 10 seconds

Synchro Skills 1 - 8-16 skaters, majority under 9 years old, maximum 2 minutes 10 seconds

Synchro Skills 2 - 8-16 skaters, majority under 12 years old, maximum 2 minutes 10 seconds

Synchro Skills 3 - 8-16 skaters, majority at least 12 years old, maximum 2 minutes 10 seconds

As of the competition entry deadline, skaters may not have passed any test higher than the preliminary test.

There is no longer a rule that states "majority of the team must be no test."

For the 2018-19 season, the ages are as of July 1, 2018.

Teams that wish to “skate up” a level, to compete a more challenging program, may do so. For example, if you have a team made up of skaters that are majority under 9 years old, you could compete in either Synchro Skills 1 or Synchro Skills 2.

Teams may enter the Snowplow Sam Synchro event at synchronized skating nonqualifying competitions, as well as Compete USA Competitions.
