Five U.S. Athletes to Compete at 2014 Gardena Spring Trophy

(3/26/14) - Five U.S. athletes will compete across two levels at the 2014 Gardena Spring Trophy from March 28-30, in Selva Val Gardena, Italy. Held annually since 1990, Gardena Spring Trophy is a competition for ladies and men's skaters at the novice, junior and senior levels.

LADIES
Ashley Shin will compete internationally for the first time after most recently winning the 2014 U.S. junior bronze medal. Bradie Tennell, the 2012 U.S. novice bronze medalist, will also make her international debut in Italy. She is the 2014 U.S. junior pewter medalist. Both Shin and Tennell will compete at the junior level.

MEN
Ross Miner, the 2013 U.S. silver medalist, will compete at Gardena Spring Trophy for the first time since 2008, when he earned the junior silver medal. He finished seventh at the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships in January. Paolo Borromeo and Tony Lu will skate in the junior men's event. Borromeo is the 2014 U.S. novice champion, while Lu finished seventh as a junior at the 2014 U.S. Championships.
