Trophee Bompard
Ladies
Ashley Wagner, the two-time reigning U.S. champion, looks for her second medal of the season after winning silver at Skate America to open the season. She is the 2012 Trophee Bompard titlist. Christina Gao finished fourth at Skate Canada and won bronze at Nepela Trophy last month. Samantha Cesario made her Grand Prix Series debut with a fifth-place finish at Skate America.

Men
Like Cesario, Jason Brown made his Grand Prix debut at Skate America and finished fifth. Ross Miner, the U.S. silver medalists, withdrew earlier this week due to a right ankle sprain.

Pairs

Caydee Denney and John Coughlin opened their Grand Prix campaign with a fourth-place showing at Skate America.

The Grand Prix Series, now in its 19th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 300 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the series. Each athlete is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2013 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 5-8, in Fukuoka, Japan.
